There will be the following teams this season:
- Girls Senior (1 team)
- Boys Junior (2 teams)
- Boys Senior (3 teams)
Practices will begin on Tuesday Jan 17th and be held every weekday evening for the first 3 weeks through Friday Feb 3rd. The goal is to give players the opportunity to make as many practices as possible knowing players have conflicts i.e. church, basketball, etc. and can’t make every practice. Practices times will be as follows:
- 6:00p-7:30p for Girls Senior team and Boys Junior teams
- 7:30p-9:30p for Boys Senior teams
Please make sure your players are at the park, dressed in all their equipment and ready to take the field by the practice start time. Players should have all paperwork turned in no later than the first day of practice. No player will be allowed to practice without a “sports” physical valid through May 31 and the BLA waiver. All forms are available for download at www.broncolax.com on the registration page. All paperwork must be turned in by Jan 25th so that the GLL can certify every team/player in advance of our first game
After the first game on Saturday Feb 4th, practices will be held two times per week as follows:
- Boys Junior Teams – Mondays 6:30p until 8p, Thursdays 6:00p until 7:30p
- Girls Senior Team – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00p until 7:30p
- Boys Senior Teams – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 until 9:30p
The first weekend for games is Saturday Feb 4th. The game schedule will be available soon and we will distribute it when we receive it. We will have games each weekend throughout the season with the exception of the weekends at each end of the Gwinnett County Schools Spring Break
Spirit wear will be available for sale each night during the first week of practice.
Concessions will be available during our pre-season practices and will operate from 6:00p until 8:00pm each night that we have practice. Please remember a percentage of concessions profits go to our association.
If a practice must be cancelled for weather or any other reason, the website home page and Rainout Number, (404) 382-9999, will be updated by 4:30p on the day of the practice.
During the season we all know there is the need for volunteers. Many have let BLA know they would like to coach and we thank you for that. In addition there is the need for GLL reps and gate attendants on games days, team managers(previously called team mom/parent), field painting (typically on Friday night), game day field setup/take down and more. Please think about how you would like to serve during the season and let us know when we ask how families would like to serve.
